Silsonmar da Rocha Costa (EDP – INVESTCO)

Graduated in Electric Engineering from UNIFEI - Universidade Federal de Engenharia de Itajubá, Itajubá – Minas Gerais, Brazil, in 1969.
For the past 40 years in the maintenance activity, presently as Consultant to EDP BR, Energia de Portugal – Brazil. Took part in the recovery of corrosive sulphur –affected 230 and 500 kV transformers in Lajeado UHE 902 MVA , TO. Units were recovered on site, by changing windings and 390.000 liters of oil. During one of the events, the subject matter of the presentation took place.

 

Alexandre Rasi Aoki (LACTEC)

Graduated, Master and Doctor in Electric Engineering from Universidade Federal de Itajubá. Researcher of the Electric Systems Division of LACTEC and Professor at Universidade Federal do Paraná.

 

Antônio Manuel Corvo (CTEEP)

Electrical Engineer graduated from  Escola Federal de Engenharia de Itajubá.

For the past 27 years in the Power System at CESP – Companhia Energética de São Paulo. Worked for the leading world manufacturers, visiting plants, doing tests at CESI- Italy, at Rennardiers France, at CEPEL Brazil and other Electric Research Centers. Published papers for CIGRE, CIER and other Brazilian and international organizations. Helped set up and manage, as Technical Manager for 7 years, the first private transmission company in Brazil, resulting from bids organized by regulating entity ANEEL. Since January 15, 2007 at CTEEP and Grupo ISA as Maintenance Department Manager. 

 

João Baldauf (AREVA)

Electrical Engineer who has devoted all his professional life to transformers and reactors, acting basically in Research and Engineering. Currently responsible for the “Research and Development” area of Areva’s transformer assembly plant in Canoas – Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

 

Sérgia de Souza Oliveira (MINISTÉRIO DO MEIO AMBIENTE)

Graduated in Chemistry from Universidade de Brasília (1984), Master in Agrochemistry from Universidade Federal de Viçosa (1990), in Analytical Agrochemistry area and Doctorate in Public Health from Universidade de São Paulo (2005), in the area of Environmental Health. Currently acting as Director of the Department of Environmental Quality in Industry at the Climate Change and Environmental Quality Secretary. Wide experience in Chemistry with emphasis in Analytical Chemistry, dealing mainly in the environmental impact of chemicals, chemicals and hazardous residue, agrochemicals, environmental health, public policies, risk management and evaluation of environmental and human health risks.

Bernardo Paula Lima Salum (SIEMENS)

Electrical Engineer

Graduated from Instituto Politécnico da Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais in 1978. Specialization in Japan and Germany. 33 years of experience in the Transformers /Reactors area in electric and mechanic project, assembly, sales and service. Manager of Siemens Ltda TLM area which encompasses Repair – Retrofit – Monitoring and Post –sales (warranty).

 

Mrs Lukić Jelena

Jelena Lukić was born in Belgrade, Serbia on 28 th of April 1970. Received B.S. degree at Belgrade University, in Chemical Engineering, Organic Chemical Technology and Petrochemical Engineering in 1996. Joined Electrical Engineering institute “Nikola Tesla”, department for Electrical Measurements in 1996. In 2004 she received M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, at Belgrade University and was awarded for master thesis from Belgrade Chamber of commerce in 2004. She holds a position of head of laboratory for calibration and testing, division for insulating materials testing and she is engaged in paper/oil insulation testing and diagnostics of power and instrument transformers. As a chairman of Serbia NC of IEC TC 10, Mrs. Lukic is delegate and active member in IEC TC 10 working groups and working gropus of CIGRE A2 and D1. She has published over 20 technical papers on domestic and international conferences and in scientific papers.

 

Mr Martin Russell

Russell is the Technical Manager at M&I Materials, Manchester, in the UK, where he leads the Technical Development and Application Innovations for ester transformer fluid. He has a PhD in Chemistry from Sheffield University in the UK, and contributes to various CIGRE, BSI and IEC technical groups to expand and improve the industry knowledge of transformer fluid behaviour and performance.

He leads the Cigre Working Group on Alternative Fluids (WG A2-35), IEC MT 36 (maintenance of IEC 61099 and IEC 61203 standards for synthetic ester) and also is Secretary of the BSI GEL 10 group which maintains and develops fluid standards for the electrical industry. In addition he works with the High Voltage Research Team at the University of Manchester, which is looking at the use of Alternative Fluids for Power Transformers.

He has extensive experience in Production and Technical Management, Further Education Teaching, and has run a small Independent Consultancy Business before joining M&I Materials.

 

Prof. Pompili  Massimo

He was born in Rome (Italy) on September 16, 1956. He received his Dr. Ing. Degree in 1981 and his Ph.D. Degree in 1985 in Electrical Engineering from the University of Roma “La Sapienza”. He joined the same University in 1989 as Researcher and since 1993 is Associate Professor on Components and Electrical Technologies and on Electrical Installations. Since 1987 he is the Chairman of the TC10 Fluids for Electrotechnical Application of the Italian CEI, and has been since 1989 the Secretary of the same IEC Technical Committee. His main interests concern electrical technology with particular reference to dielectric fluids and the characterization of new materials to be employed in electrical power components. He has authored about 100 papers, presented at international conferences or published in permanent Italian and international scientific literature.
 

Mr. Scatiggio  Fabio

Mr Scatiggio has been employed at ENEL the Italian National Company of Electricity since 1981.
After the European deregulation of electrical market, ENEL was split in many different companies and he joined Terna (Italian National Electricity Transmission Company) where currently he works as Chemical Laboratory Manager at Maintenance Division in Venice (Italy). He is in charge for the analysis on liquids materials and transformers diagnostic.
He is Italian representative in many IEC TC 10 (insulating liquids) working groups or maintenance teams.
He is expert member in D1 (materials) and A2 (transformers) CIGRE committee. He is manly involved in the WG on corrosive sulphur and oxidation stability problems.
Some of his articles on corrosive sulphur are published on IEEE and CIGRE scientific literature.
Mr. Scatiggio received in 2008 the “IEC Award 1906” for his studies on the corrosive sulphur presence in insulating oil. 
 
 

Mr. Tumiatti Vander

Founder of Sea Marconi in 1968, is the inventor of more than 38 international patents for processes and technologies in the field of decontamination, detoxification, dehalogenation of Persistant Organic Pollutants.
He is also an International Technical Specialist for the interpretation of analytical results, diagnostics and life cycle management of insulating fluids and transformers. 
He is the Italian representative in several International Working Groups: IEC T10 Assistant Secretary, Convenor of MT 31 (particles), member of TC 10 Working Group (21,22,24,25,32,33,34,35) Cenelec and Cigre. He published several papers in international conferences and technical journals.
He is the Editor of My Transfo Meeting (2002, 2004, 2006 Editions) and co-president of My Transfo do Brasil in cooperation with Terna and Sea Marconi.
He is also the coordinator of the European Project Haloclean for the thermo-chemical process of materials like WEEE and Biomasses for Bioenergy.
 

Prof. Kapila Shuben 

Shuben Kapila is an Endowed Professor of Chemistry, with more than thirty years experience in Environmental and Analytical Chemistry. He has extensive espertise in determination of chemicals in complex system, synthesis of novels peptides, fate and transport of chemicals in the environment, development od renewable resource based technical oils, resins and composite materials. He has published more than 200 scientific articles in national and international journals, has presented more than 250 papers at national and international conferences. He holds 15 patentes.
 

Mr. Dobianer Gernoth 

Born July 14th, 1960 studies of business in England. CEO of SME in the test and measurement business for 15 years. Founder and Owner of Energy Support GmbH / Germany
