CDP Process^®, developed and patented by Sea Marconi, is the only process capable of detoxifying and dehalogenating the PCBs present both in the oil and the inner parts of the transformer on-site, in continuous mode and closed circuit, with circulation of warm oil, with an efficiency of 99.9 %, without requiring the draining, even partial of the transformers, reclassifying them “PCBs free” in accordance with European Directive 59/96.

The CDP Process^® operates safely at low temperatures (80-100° C), without risks for explosions or fires, thanks to the use of a proprietary solid reagent (S/CDP^®). Also, the CDP Process is the only process capable of eliminating completely the PCBs from the oil and the transformer, re-establishing the chemical-physical features of the oil to the same conditions of new oil.

The Decontamination Mobile Units (D₅MU) used for the process are designed and developed by Sea Marconi implementing innovative technologies and unique environmental protection systems, to ensure fully safe working conditions. The D₅MU are modular, thus they can operate in all logistic scenarios and thanks to specially developed ad-hoc protocols, they can also operate on energized and under load transformers.
